● 金子教授に日本機械学会動力エネルギーシステム部門賞授与  2009年11月13日に開催された日本機械学会動力エネルギーシステム部門の “セミナー＆サロン” に於いて、同部門に対する長年の貢献が評価され金子教授に “功績賞” が授与されました。
○ JSME Distinguished Award given to Prof. Kaneko
On Nov. 13, 2009, at the annual Seminar & Salon of the Power & Energy Systems Division of the Japan Society of mechanical Engineers, "Distinguished Achievement Award" was given to Prof. Kaneko commemorating his long years contribution to that division and technical accomplishment in that field. 2009.11.UP

● 豪州ヴィクトリア州政府関係者御来訪  2009年9月2日に豪州ヴィクトリア州政府の関係者が来訪され褐炭の高効率利用研究の協力について打ち合わせを行いました。
○ Visit of Victorian Government Officials
On September 2nd, 2009, Government officials from State of Victoria, Australia, visited Prof. Kaneko and discussed on the future cooperation on the efficient use of brown coal. 2009.10.UP
● WTO（世界貿易機関）Workshopに参加  2009年9月23-25日、金子教授がWTO主催で開催された"環境に優しい製品を世界に普及させるための障壁の除去"を目的としたWorkshopに講師として招かれ、「大気汚染防止」のセッションで発表を行いました。
